Chianti Classico in Oldenburg

There were three of us eating here on a Monday evening, luckily the restaurant was not completely full, because distance (due to Corona) to other tables cannot be guaranteed in this cozy location. Our order was taken quickly and the starters came quickly from the kitchen. Unfortunately, not all of the beers on the menu were in stock, so it can happen that you have to switch to an alternative. Unfortunately, my girlfriend was initially served the wrong dish, then the new dish (pasta Bolognese) was prepared with a cherries and served in almost record speed. Unfortunately, this dish tasted accordingly and the Bolognese was more of a soup with a taste of fish. The waitress reacted absolutely disrespectfully to this hint and couldn't explain it at all. It was then pointed out that the starter was certainly already sufficiently full. All in all, we were very disappointed by the snotty style of service and will not visit this restaurant again and unfortunately we cannot recommend it.

Totally cute and beautiful restaurant, good selection of dishes, friendly service, the food came very quickly and was extremely tasty.

Worst place to go have an 'Italian' dinner in Oldenburg. The waitress way too unfriendly and impolite. Waiters wear masks without the nose covered. Place too crowded and tables dirty. When asked to clean it, she just tried to 'wipe' the crumbs with her hands only to throw them to my boyfriends lap. The food was average. When asked for extra bread for the pasta, she just brought a basket that was obviously leftovers from another table, since the bread was cold and had already been ripped by someone else. Couldn't enjoy the dinner at all after that. Just imagined how the pasta was prepared... We left after that. Never back again.

The service is very nice. I didn't like the Bruchetta. The pizza bread was too dry for me and the tomatoes too little seasoned. I also found the music too loud. Background music is okay, but not if you have to talk louder because of it.

Very nice building! Condition is very nice and brisk! Very large menu! Ordered 3 pizzas. All very tasty, but we didn't find the pizzas too big. Would definitely come back anyway!

There were four to eat with an appointment. No disinfectant dispenser in front of the entrance. Employees wear "half" masks that do not cover the nose and where the condensed exhaled air sticks to the mask in drops. Cards are on the table. Distance to the next tables "back to back". Hygiene à la corona: no ... waiters barely had time, turned around while taking the order and sometimes not taking the whole order. For each starter and main course, one dessert. Waiters always had to be asked to order drinks, nobody came by themselves and asked if there was anything else they could do. Dessert did not come after ordering, waitress informed and new order (coffee / espresso) placed at the same time. Within earshot of us, the waitress said, annoyed and in a derogatory tone, to the colleague "now there will be a coffee and an espresso". "Coupe Denmark" was three scoops of vanilla ice cream with chocolate sauce ... No cream ... No waffle, nothing. There was no glass of still water with the espresso. Then why do you go to the Italian?!? Anyway. After paying by card (over € 120) the cashier says: "Thank you for nothing!", Because no tip was paid with the card, as we usually Left in cash on the table so that the waiters actually receive it and it doesn't end up on the operator's account ... When we left the restaurant, we were probably called out of desperate anger about the tip that was not received, or better said: not earned, tip: " I remember (your name), nech? " The waiter would have better spent the annoying time thinking about WHY there was no tip. But in the case of rather unfriendly staff who never come by themselves and take orders, etc., in our opinion, the "service" is not to be rewarded separately with a tip, especially since the price is "including service and service". So it seems rather strange that you are insulted as a guest ...

Romantically beautiful, old building with a lot of charm. Delicious food and great service create a holiday mood.

Simply loved the food and the atmosphere of the place.

We found a piece of hair next to the pizza... the waiters didn't apologize, they just took it off and served it again. Quality of pizza was poor and the place doesn't have air conditioning, so when the pizza is being baked, all of the burnt smell stays inside and when you leave, you stink of smoke. Overall, the experience, food and service was poor.

A good Italian restaurant with good food. The courtyard is a great find. On balmy summer nights, a truly Mediterranean feeling of life arises here.

Very good pizza and a top location

It was OK. For how good the reviews were, we were a little disappointed. The baked pasta dishes were probably the best. The service was very good. Husband's fish was cooked well but the sauce was a little salty and the salad was iceberg like others mentioned. We do admit that the atmosphere was nice and again, our waiter was very attentive and friendly. I think I would bring someone here again for a nice chat, but maybe not for a full on meal and expecting a fine dining experience. Just OK.

We were with four people in the restaurant around 6pm today. A reservation should definitely be made at the weekend, as soon as we have taken a seat, all the other tables were occupied a short time later. The building - 16th century - is beautiful. The ceiling is low and crossed with crossbeams and the floor creaks when you enter - wonderful. ? You immediately feel cozy. The service was friendly and brisk. The dishes were delicious and super hot. Maybe here and there you could have garnished something for the eye. The prices are reasonable. We will be back definitely. ?

Didn't live up to my expectations. Old building, charming, but no modern touches, feels touristy. Older crowd and a few couples. Average age 60 when I went for lunch. Food (pizza, salad) not great or particularly yummy. Pizza crust thick and doughy. Salad was iceberg with a few wilted leaves of rucola and tasteless tomatoes. To be drenched in dressing. Service smiles but only grudgingly accomodates any wishes. Smoking allowed in the courtyard...another sign that this place doesn't really care about your taste buds or your children. Won't be back.
